by Dubem Nwokike

The Obudu Cattle Ranch is one of the most beautiful and exciting places in Nigeria. Located in the heart of the Calabar Mountain Range, it’s a great place to explore nature. The ranch has been voted one of Africa’s most beautiful tourist attractions by CNN, but it also has a dark past!

Obudu Cattle Ranch is located in Nigeria. It has become a popular tourist destination since its humble beginnings as a cattle ranch and hunting ground.

The Obudu Cattle Ranch is an exciting place where you can see nature at its best! The ranch is home to all kinds of wildlife, including elephants and leopards. There are also fun activities you can do there such as horseback riding and swimming in the pool.

If you visit them in Nigeria, I highly recommend taking a trip to the Obudu Cattle Ranch while you’re there!

The Obudu Cattle Ranch has been voted one of Africa’s most beautiful tourist attractions by CNN.

CNN is a respected news organization and the ranking will reach a large audience. The ranking will be seen as a reliable assessment because it’s from an international, American news organization with a good reputation for accuracy.

The ranch was used by the British as a military base during World War II when they also hid Jews there from persecution. In fact, Obudu is one of the few places in Africa where you can find Jews who are native to the region (the others being Ghana and Ethiopia). The history of Jewish presence in Nigeria goes back centuries—to at least 1750—and it’s thought that these Jews may have been descendants of Portuguese traders who came to Africa via Spain or Holland after 1492. Today, there are about 10,000 Jews living in Nigeria who trace their roots back to this period!

During World War II, the ranch was used to hide Jews escaping Nazi Germany. The ranch was owned by a German Jewish family who used it as a hideout for their fellow Jews fleeing persecution. The remote location made it ideal for hiding people and also served as an excellent camouflage for any suspicious activity that might occur on the ranch.

Obudu Cattle Ranch is also the site of an annual mountain race that attracts the best runners from all over the world. This race is open to everyone and promises to be a challenge for runners of all abilities. It’s also a great way to see the ranch and learn more about its history without having to go through a tour guide.

The best time to go would be during the summer months, as this is when the temperature is most pleasant. The rainy season runs from October to December, and the weather may not be ideal for hiking through the mountains and forests. If you plan on visiting during this time of year, we recommend bringing a raincoat or umbrella just in case. Spring and Fall are also good times to visit because they’re milder than summer, but still provide beautiful views of nature! No matter when you choose to visit us here at Obudu Cattle Ranch, we’re sure that our friendly staff will make your stay memorable!

If you’re looking for a uniquely African experience, Obudu Cattle Ranch is the place to go! From hiking through the rainforest to seeing amazing waterfalls and swimming pools, there is something here for everyone.
